My Story...
Freelance photographer Chloe Campbell is based in West London and specialises in family portraiture.
Since the beginning of her career Chloe has photographed children, families and well-known public figures, such as His Holiness The Dalai Lama, for whom she was the official photographer on His UK tour in 2012.
Storytelling has always been a huge part of her journey and an early discovery of her mother’s camera ensured the snapping never ceased! Holidays were documented and scrapbooks made, piecing together happy memories.
Chloe spent hours in the darkroom at school, developing her photography and watching with excitement as each image appeared. Then, away from film photography and controlled studio set-up, the excitement continued into documentary. Chloe followed her heart to The University of The Arts London where she gained her Bachelors degree in photojournalism. Her 'Photo Stories' continued to develop into some of her most poignant documentary works.
Taking a back seat from the front-lines, Chloe has explored many avenues but has always kept her feet in portraiture.
From documenting a couple's most important wedding day, moving into family photography was an organic step, helped by her love for children and an early career in teaching and children's party entertaining (yes, in a clown, princess or pirate outfit).

Applying everything she has learned over the years, Chloe is able to capture baby’s first days or your toddler taking her first steps, both of which are key moments for parents to cherish. Being able to catch such special moments has given her a profound respect for the power of a really great photograph.
Chloe is especially good at putting her subjects at ease which helps speed up the process and deliver wonderful pictures. Her gentle nature is evident in her work, creating timeless, natural portraits that leave her many clients smiling at their lasting images of their loved ones.

NB:
It is important for me to get a good feel for you and your family before I shoot. No two families are the same and so no two photoshoots should ever be the same. We will have a consultation so I understand exactly what you want and get a sense of what I can create for your family.
I have found that keeping your little ones in their own or known environment, where they are most comfortable is key for the most beautiful shots, so I will come to you and will stay for just enough time to keep everyone happy, excited and perfectly angelic throughout!
I look forward to hearing from you.
As a Family portrait Photographer I understand the importance of that perfect family shot!

I didn't really get it when Mum used to roll her eyes and say "...theres always one..." referring to the stupid faces one of my three siblings or I was pulling, whilst trying to take a snap.

To capture that moment in time, when everyone is together is something so rare and so special in any mother or fathers eyes. Children grow up so quickly, and those special moments are so precious for such a short space of time.
Its all very well to say we can take a selfie of us all in the park, or on holiday but it is the persistence of the professional to capture that moment when everyone is looking the same way, smiling and enjoying that moment of togetherness, that makes stunning family portraits.

I look back at both of my daughters' newborn photos and see the most beautiful images. Their many milestones along the way, frozen in time, have brought us so much happiness. Every day I look at these images on the walls in our home and remind myself of our beautiful family and how it continues to grow and flourish. As well as a visual understanding for my daughters who see themselves in these pictures and know how much they are loved.

As your photographer, I want to be able to give you an answer to these problems, to be able to share my time with you and create beautiful family portraits that you can be proud of and show off in your won home.

It is these moments, and watching others enjoy those moments, that make me get out of bed every day to do what I do. The joy I see on my clients faces when they receive their images, prints or albums, and the kind words that follow in emails is why I became a family portrait photographer. Family is so important to me and I hope can share my passion with you.
